WorldWide Family of Brands
Louis Allis became a member of WorldWide Electric’s family of brands in 2020.
For over 100 years, they have specialized in large, custom, and demanding motor applications and are recognized globally as a leader in AC and DC electric motor design, manufacturing, modification, troubleshooting, service, and repair. Louis Allis can repair or replace existing large custom motors regardless of the complexity or original manufacturer. They are one of the only companies that can offer drop-in replacements for old, legacy motors that an original manufacturer no longer supports.
Located in Warrior, Alabama, the manufacturing facility is certified to ISO 9001:2015. They also can factory recertify, service, rebuild, or repair motors to MIL-SPEC, NEMA MG, IEEE, EASA-AR100, or UL Standards.
Customers across many industry verticals, military, and municipal markets trust Louis Allis for specialty motor applications up to 15,000 HP. With the acquisition of Louis Allis, WorldWide Electric is a single source for a full range of reliable standard off-the-shelf motors, modified standard motors, and custom specialty motor solutions.
Gleason-Avery became a member of WorldWide Electric’s family of brands in 2021.
For over 40 years, Gleason-Avery, has produced quality fractional and sub-fractional gear motors. They partnered with customers to provide standard or custom-designed motors, design services, engineering experience, and industry-leading quality.
Their manufacturing facility is located in Auburn, New York, and includes automatic winding equipment, gear hobbing machines, horizontal and vertical machining centers, and painting facilities. Custom manufacturing capabilities include mounting options, gear ratios, shaft configurations, application-specific lubricants, and unique mounting options.
Gleason-Avery gear motors are predominantly used by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and packaged into consumer products, such as rotisseries, pellet stoves, and corn stoves.
WorldWide Electric acquired Georator in 2021.
The original manufacturer of Frequency Convertors and Permanent Magnet Alternators. For over 65 years, Georator products have been used throughout the US and exported worldwide.
Today, WorldWide Electric offers Rotary Frequency Converters, often called Motor-Generator Sets, Solid-State Frequency Converters – electronic units, Permanent Magnet Alternators, and Uninterruptible Power Sources.
Our US customers use frequency changers when testing electrical products exported to continents that operate at 50 Hz, such as Europe and Asia. They are also used to run equipment in the US that requires 50 Hz or in other countries that operate at 60 Hz.
We have Georator frequency and voltage converters and power sources for almost any application in stock and offer fast, often same-day, shipping from seven regional US warehouses.
