Open Drip Proof (ODP) Motors

WorldWide Electric Open Drip Proof (ODP) motors are designed and engineered for use in HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general purpose installations where cooler-running, non-enclosed motors are ideal.

Each motor operates at premium efficiency specifications. They are available from one-half to 200 horse-power, 50 or 60-hertz configurations, meet NEMA specifications, and provide inverter duty and service factors suitable for ODP motor applications.

The Open Drip Proof enclosure is either rolled steel or cast iron, depending on the motor's power. Both offer the environmental protection and insulation needed, including double vacuum pressure impregnation for winding insulation to ensure long life and durability.

Our motor bases are guaranteed to fit your existing applications, with some models offering double-drilled feet, or F1 to F2 conversions for additional mounting flexibility.

Pre-tapped drive ends allow you to install a grounding ring outside the bell end - Or order your motor with a grounding ring already installed from the factory. All worldwide ODP motors with a 143T Frame and up are pre-drilled and tapped to accept grounding rings that protect against shaft currents. External grounding rings allow testing and replacement without the need to open the motor housing - simplifying service and reducing downtime.

Lightweight, compact design - Many ODP motors are handled, lifted, and installed manually - ours are among the lightest motors on the market. And larger models include Lifting Eyes to help with the load.
