Gleason-Avery partners with Finger Lakes Textiles.
Finger Lakes Textiles (FLT), a division of Mozaic, a not-for-profit organization serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, employs an integrated manufacturing workforce of 50 employees with diverse abilities. FLT has worked for manufacturers of various sizes who need additional manufacturing sources to expand their capacity, assist with high-volume projects, and perform jobs such as assembly or packaging unsuited for current machinery.
Being recently acquired by Worldwide Electric Corporation, Gleason-Avery began to expand, resulting in their management team looking for a partner without impacting their current employees or future hiring decisions. Finger Lakes Textiles (Mozaic) provided that support resulting in a win-win for both organizations. FLT works with Gleason-Avery on small assembly, packing, and prepping various items such as blower housings, gasket prep (hole punch), press assembly, and unpacking needle bearings.
